Position: Provision of On-Site Enrolled Nursing Services (Contracted Service)
Duty Station: Divundu, Namibia (on-site)
Reporting Line (functional): ESG Officer
Working Relationship: Close collaboration with Health & Safety Officer

Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified service provider to deliver on-site nursing services at our Divundu operations. This engagement will ensure that all employees have access to an in-house nurse for their medical consultations. This is a contracted service arrangement and does not constitute direct employment.

The service provider may be an individual practitioner or a firm assigning a dedicated nurse to our site. The provider will be expected to ensure continuity of service, including appropriate cover during leave and absences.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The contracted nurse will be expected to:

• Provide triage and basic clinical care for minor ailments and injuries.
• Provide on-site medical consultations for workers, including basic primary healthcare for common illnesses and conditions.
• Support emergency preparedness, including first-aid readiness, emergency response coordination, and participation in drills.
• Conduct occupational health surveillance, including heat stress prevention and monitoring, musculoskeletal strain prevention, and support for awareness of chemical exposure risks.
• Deliver health promotion sessions on topics such as hydration, sanitation, communicable disease prevention, ergonomics, and reproductive health education.
• Maintain availability and proper stock control of first-aid supplies.
• Maintain basic medical and consultation records in line with confidentiality and applicable professional standards.
• Manage referrals to external healthcare providers where necessary.
• Maintain worker health and safety training plans and associated training records.
• Support maintenance of accident and near-miss logs and provide input into case investigations.
• Provide input into basic health trend reporting for management, while respecting confidentiality requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Enrolled Nurse with at least 1 year’s working experience.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of Namibia.
• Experience in rural or agricultural settings will be a strong advantage.
• Preference will be given to candidates/service providers with the ability to work effectively with diverse worker groups and an understanding of local languages in Divundu.

Contracting and Availability

• This is a contracted service, not an employment position with Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd.
• The service provider is expected to propose a schedule that ensures regular on-site presence (for example, 5 days per week or defined shifts) and to clearly indicate arrangements for cover during leave to safeguard continuity of services.

• A proposed service delivery model and schedule (days/hours on site and approach to leave cover).
• Relevant proven experience, especially in occupational/community health and rural or agricultural settings.
• Fee structure/financial proposal.
