Location: Divundu, Kavango East, Namibia
Job Type: Full-Time or Fixed-Term Contract
Reports To: Project Director
About the Project
Loxworth Capital is developing one of Southern Africa’s most ambitious agricultural infrastructure projects — a 400+ hectare hydroponic blueberry farm built for global export markets. Alongside advanced agritech, this project involves large-scale infrastructure including roads, utilities, irrigation systems, packhouses, and cold chain facilities.
We are building from the ground up in a remote part of Namibia. Timelines are tight, infrastructure is raw, and progress is hard-earned. If you thrive in a high-responsibility environment where every day counts — and you want to be part of something transformative — this is your opportunity.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary.
- On-site accommodation provided.
- Namibian candidates preferred, but open to others.
- For non-local hires: paid trips home, fuel allowance, and relocation support.
- Career growth in a high-profile, values-driven project shaping the future of African agriculture.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Junior Project Manager with an engineering qualification to oversee infrastructure works from concept to completion. You will manage contractors, coordinate materials and logistics, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Expect to work across construction, logistics, and compliance — and to roll up your sleeves when needed. This is a site-based role in Divundu, requiring flexibility, initiative, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily project activities, timelines, and contractor deliverables.
- Supervise and liaise with contractors on site (roads, utilities, packhouse, irrigation, netting).
- Track budgets, schedules, and progress against milestones.
- Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain HSE records, project trackers, and compliance documentation.
- Report regularly to the Project Director on progress, risks, and solutions.
- Assist with stakeholder, investor, and regulatory reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (or related field).
- 2–5 years’ experience in construction or infrastructure project delivery (agriculture experience an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Fluent in English; local languages an advantage.
- Willing and able to live and work full-time on-site in Divundu.
Who Thrives in This Role
- Practical and hands-on — not afraid to get involved in field work.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator, able to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Calm under pressure and proactive in solving problems.
- Comfortable living in a remote location with limited amenities.
- Motivated to grow your career within a challenging but rewarding environment.
