Junior Project Manager – Blueberry Expansion
On-Site

Location: Full-time, on-site in Zambezi / Kavango East Region, Namibia.

Sector: Agriculture / Agritech / Horticulture

Start Date: ASAP

Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Project Director / Managing Director

About the Project

Loxworth Capital is scaling one of the most ambitious horticultural start-ups in Southern Africa — a 400–800 hectare hydroponic blueberry development driving export growth, rural employment, and agricultural innovation. We are building from the ground up in a remote part of Namibia. It’s a start-up environment, deep in the field, where timelines are tight, infrastructure is raw, and progress is hard-earned. We are laying the foundation for a world-class operation in one of the most remote parts of Namibia — and we’re looking for someone who thrives on that kind of challenge. If you’re looking for structure and routine, this may not be for you. But if you thrive in a fastmoving, high-responsibility environment where every day counts — read on.

The Role

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of infrastructure, planting, and operational workstreams. From net structures and fertigation systems to cold rooms and roads, you’ll be deeply involved in project delivery across a wide range of disciplines. This role is on-site, full-time, and hands-on. Expect to work across construction, logistics, ESG, and compliance — and sometimes just roll up your sleeves and help get things done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily project activities, timelines, and contractor deliverables.
  • Support installation of irrigation, netting, hydroponics, roads, cold rooms, and packhouse infrastructure.
  • Liaise with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Track budgets, schedules, and progress against milestones.
  • Flag delays and help implement practical solutions.
  • Maintain HSE records, project trackers, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with stakeholder, investor, and regulatory updates.

What Kind of Person Thrives Here?

  • 2–5 years of project coordination or site-based infrastructure experience (agriculture a plus).
  • Practical and hands-on — not afraid of long hours or physical work in the field.
  • Highly organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to coordinate across diverse teams.
  • Self-starter who enjoys solving problems and making things happen.
  • Comfortable living and working in a remote location with limited amenities.
  • Eager to learn, contribute, and grow with the project.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Agriculture, or related field.
  • A background in civil engineering is essential.
  • Strong Excel and project tracking/reporting tool proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Fluent in English; other local languages a plus.

What We Offer

  • A rare opportunity to help build a large-scale agri venture from the ground up.
  • Exposure to agritech, ESG, infrastructure, and international export operations.
  • Career growth in a dynamic, values-driven team.
  • Competitive salary, with on-site accommodation.
