Role: External Confidential Counselling Services (Service Provider)
Duty Station / Coverage: Primarily Divundu (Namibia) workforce (combination of on-site and/or remote support as proposed)

 

Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd is seeking an external, independent service provider to offer confidential counselling services to employees. The service must ensure access to external confidential counsellors, including both male and female counsellors, to support diverse worker needs.

 

This is a procurement of external services and does not constitute employment with Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd. The counsellors must operate independently, maintaining strict confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.

 

Services Required

The external counsellor service provider will be expected to:

  • Provide confidential individual counselling to workers, with appropriate follow-up where needed.
  • Provide group counselling sessions or psycho-educational sessions as required.
  • Provide critical incident support (e.g. after accidents or traumatic events) with appropriate safeguards, sensitivity, and referral where necessary.
  • Establish and maintain referral pathways to specialised mental health services for cases requiring higher levels of care.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and independence in all counselling services and provide support for sensitive worker concerns without interference from Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd management.
  • Provide anonymised, aggregated trend insights where appropriate (e.g. general themes, utilisation patterns) to support workplace wellbeing initiatives, without disclosing any personally identifiable information.
  • Ensure availability of both male and female counsellors so that workers can choose their preferred counsellor.

 

Minimumu Qalifications and Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of Namibia or another equivalent, recognised professional body.
  • Proven demonstrated experience in counselling and/or psychosocial support, preferably in employee assistance programmes, workplace counselling, or community-based services.
  • Experience in rural or agricultural settings will be an added advantage.
  • Preference will be given to providers with the ability to work effectively with diverse work groups and an understanding of local languages in Divundu.

 

Submission Details

Interested service providers are invited to submit a proposal including:

  • Organisational or practice profile, including details of counselling staff (qualifications, registrations, years of experience).
  • Evidence of professional registration for counsellors/psychologists/social workers who will deliver the service.
  • A proposed service delivery schedule and model (e.g. mix of on-site and remote sessions, availability hours, access channels, approach to urgent cases).
  • Confirmation of availability of both male and female counsellors.
  • Confidentiality and data protection protocols, including how records are stored and how anonymised reporting will be handled.
  • Fee structure/financial proposal.
